William & Kate on Storybird

  1. This is a nice way of creating a traditionally structured narrative but tapping into contemporary events - and blending the two aspects together in a digital story.

Btw, I notice, though, that the story was in the past tense before the actual event occurred ... :)

  2. I know, I sort of thought everyone would be attached to their particular IT viewing gadget by now and so I could get away with it. I have been rumbled!

I really was impressed with Lexie's storybook she put in all these clever academic statements!

  3. This is great. Was it easy to do? I will have to have a go. Great for students to do, especially the young ones. Would really help with their narrative structure.

You are really making your blog interesting!

  4. I love how such a simple story has almost come to life with the help of web 2.o tools. It has encouraged me to give it a try, Helena! :)

  5. Helena, you inspired me to have a go at this. It also made me realise how difficult it can be for children to compose their writing. The pictures were really helpful once I'd chosen an artist.

  7. Thank you so much for all your lovely comments.
But credit should go to Lexie for inspiring me and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge for supplying the gorgeous material.
